Empowering rural and plantation communities with education, housing, and essential resources to enhance their quality of life.

01

WHO WE ARE

The Diriyalanka Social Development Foundation, established in 2005, focuses on supporting low-income families in the Matale district and marginalized social groups who are deprived of their rights and privileges. We believe in mediation as a fundamental approach to achieving justice and fairness.

Our foundation operates on the principles of participatory development theory, ensuring that our social target groups are actively involved in every stage, from planning and decision-making to implementation and follow-up. With a dedicated task force equipped with years of training and experience, we strive to create meaningful and sustainable change in our communities.

Mission

We are dedicated to bringing sustainability and improved living conditions to poor rural and plantation communities.

Vision

To create a society where rural and plantation communities have access to education, housing, land, water, energy, technology, and other essential resources, fostering sustainable improvements in their living conditions.

Target Community

We serve rural and plantation sectors, urban marginalized low-income groups, and vulnerable migrants, focusing on those who are disadvantaged and in need of support.

WHAT WE DO

At the Diriyalanka Social Development Foundation, we empower small entrepreneurs by enhancing product standardization and building strong networks through team exchanges. We facilitate access to government services, conduct nutrition workshops, and repair essential infrastructure. We coordinate with public institutions to improve sanitation, raise primary healthcare awareness, and support migrants. Our programs promote healthy habits, provide nutritional support to young children and pregnant women, and enhance agriculture and animal husbandry practices. Additionally, we address labor issues through EPF/ETF interventions and build robust community-based organizations, fostering fair treatment and strong social networks.
